- Leads the operational business analytics to monitor, diagnosis and recommend process improvements to drive efficiencies within CORE operations. This work will support the entire CORE organization to inform portfolio-wide decision making and process improvement. Main responsibilities include Portfolio operational analytics and budget management activities such as:
- Creating dashboard on operational metrics to inform business decisions for CORE
- Setting up reporting, analysis, maintenance and recommendations for improvements based on data analysis
- Provide data analysis on CORE processes and deliverables
- Collaborate across all teams within CORE S&O and across CORE
- Collaborate with IT team to enhance data collection, integration and analysis
- Supports CORE forecasting and budget management, including troubleshooting and escalating issues as needed
- Collaborates with CORE scientists on all CORE research activities and works closely with cross-functional and cross-divisional working teams to ensure HH-funded CORE projects are executed and managed within budget. Addresses issues raised by CORE Scientists, responds to budget management questions or issues, and assists to resolve by following through to completion in a timely manner
- Responsible for providing guidance to the CORE scientists regarding budget and operation
- Collaborate with Finance to provide financial planning and budget management on HH-funded projects
- Support project team decision making by providing relevant financial information and insight
- Play a central role in supporting the Profit Plan, LROP (long range operating plan), quarterly forecasts review
- Participates CORE strategic initiatives and process led by the CORE Strategy & Operations, collaborate across CORE and with colleagues in HH and MRL on critical organization-wide projects
- Provides onboarding budget management and process training to new CORE employees
- Serve as an operational analytics expert on metrics across CORE teams and report out to CORE senior management, Strategy and Operations leads, and process owners.
- Bachelor's degree required in Business, Finance/Accounting, Science or Engineering
- Five years relevant experiences in Pharma industry required, including experience in clinical or other research operations
- Excellent analytical skills with strong financial acumen
- Experience in setting and measuring operational metrics and KPI, including integrating data across multiple sources and platforms
- Ability to demonstrate strong business acumen and strategic thinking
- Demonstrated ability to deliver on operational objectives in the areas of portfolio planning, budget management and metric setting
- Strong collaboration and communication skills
- Strong project management skills
- Proficient in EXCEL, WORD and POWERPOINT, comfortable with data-oriented tools and systems
- Ability to work autonomously as needed, raising issues with recommendations for solutions
- Master’s degree preferred in science, public health, business or closely related discipline
- Experiences with portfolio and project management, PMP certified
- Experiences in AI and automation in data analysis
