The Learning Experience Designer
reports to the Strategic Partner and is part of the Learning Shared Services (LSS) Learning Design & Development group. Success in this role depends on the following efforts:
  • Accountable for
    • The strategic design process, accountable & responsibility for the overall design & learner experience.
    • Collaborate with product owners and team members to ensure your designs are meeting the business needs
    • Harmonize user needs with business objectives to solve complex problems through the design of intuitive interfaces and transformative digital experiences
    • Manage user experience (UX) design across multiple initiatives in a fast pace environment
    • Manage a team of Designers to design & deliver wireframes, mockups and prototypes to test user experience and needs
    • Build client trust and respect, establish client relationships, and develop rapport with clients
    • Champion principles of usability and user-centered design
    • Gather primary and secondary research regarding user needs, UX best practices, and technology strategies and tactics
    • Develop personas, analyze and translate data on usage
    • Conduct and participate empathy based user research with focused outcomes
    • Collaborate with other peers in the UX role across the organization on procedures, processes, and best practices
    • Continually seek out opportunities for improvements and efficiencies
 
 
Qualifications

Education Minimum Requirement:
  • Required: Bachelor’s degree in Usability, Human Factors, HCI (Human Centered Interaction), Human Centered Design & Engineering, Psychology or additionally relevant field
Preferred:
  • Degree or certification in instructional design, media design, digital marketing, education, training, or related field of study
Required Experience and Skills:
  • 6+ years of experience as an Experience Designer preferred.
  • 2+ years working at a Lead, Principal, or higher level
  • 3 years or more of experience as a UX Designer/lead
Preferred Experience and Skills:
  • A solid understanding of web and mobile design principles and best use of current web and mobile technologies and scalable dynamic user interfaces
  • Broad knowledge of digital interaction design patterns, Web site architecture, user interfaces and navigation on various platforms (Web, mobile, tablet)
  • Experience with UI design and design thinking principles
  • Experience with usability analysis such as: end-user interviews
  • Strong interpersonal skills, as well as excellent communication skills, verbal and written to both technical and non-technical audiences that are in a geographically dispersed environment (conference calls, webcam, face-to-face)
  • Ability to work in a collaborative environment and on multiple assignments at once
  • Experience functioning & executing work in a fast paced iterative environment such as Agile
  • Take initiative to recommend process improvements and demonstrate creative thinking
  • 2+ years of people management experience.
  • Pharmaceutical or healthcare industry experience
  • Experience conducting usability studies. The ideal candidate will be able to create participant recruit screeners, moderator’s guides and final reports and corresponding UX recommendations
  • Ability to guide / mentor other developers and troubleshoot issues
  • Possess an insatiable fascination with technology and finding new ways to leverage it
