The Pharmacokinetics, Pharmacodynamics and Drug Metabolism (PPDM) department of MRL at South San Francisco is seeking a dynamic scientist for the Absorption, Distribution, Metabolism and Excretion (ADME) group. The candidate will, with minimal supervision, contribute to Merck's therapeutic discovery efforts by having a passion for in vitro experimentation and instrumental analysis. Routine experiments will characterize ADME properties of small molecule, antibody-drug conjugate, peptide, and/or biologic therapeutics. In addition, routine experiments will require working with intact cells, cellular and sub-cellular preparation, and isolated enzymes. The candidate will work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment with other scientists to design and interpret experiments, instrument troubleshooting, and cross-training. Strong interpersonal, communication, troubleshooting, and collaboration skills are required.


Education Minimum Requirement: 
Bachelors or master degrees in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Immunology, Pharmacology, Engineering, or related science.

Required Experience and Skills: 
Bachelor’s degree  with one (1)year industry/ internship) or Master’s degree . 
Some expertise in instrumental analysis like LC-MS/MS.
Strong interpersonal, communication, troubleshooting, and collaboration skills.

Preferred Experience and Skills:
Experience of working within a research-driven pharmaceutical company.
Experience in providing ADME support for discovery and optimization of small molecule, antibody-drug conjugate, peptide, and/or biologic therapeutics.
