We work hard to ensure our people are compensated appropriately and we aim to provide highly competitive pay levels over the long term. We offer a competitive base pay, short- and long-term incentives to support your life journey.

We provide employees with 12 holidays, four year-end shutdown days and a set number of paid vacation days to use throughout the year based on years of service or on work experience for new hires. We also provide our employees with a variety of paid time off options including:
• Paid parental time off (PPTO) – up to 12 weeks
• Sick time
• Military leave
• Other time off for such things as bereavement, jury duty, voting and volunteering.

Worldwide, our company offers retirement benefits that are competitive with those of our peers and the general industry in each market we serve.

In the U.S., for example, we offer a defined benefit pension plan as well as a 401(k) plan with company matching contributions. Outside the U.S., we have more than 80 pension plans (including defined benefit, cash balance, and defined contribution plans) in over 40 countries.

Safe & healthy workplaces
We want our employees to be healthy and happy offering them the optimal working conditions with ergonomic workplaces and a range of resources and programs to account for diverse well-being needs. Some of these include fitness, health and meditation resources, coaching and mental health therapy sessions, on-site gyms, sports activities, and nutritional programs. Additional perks include on-site cafeterias and play and relaxation areas, amongst others.

Additional benefits for you

Offering on-site services that support an inviting work environment where employees can thrive is another component of our company’s employee experience.

At the majority of company sites, including the company headquarters in Rahway, N.J., U.S., employees have the option of making an appointment to see a health care professional on site—and usually on the day they need to for such services as immunizations, biometric screenings and treatment for minor aches and pains. The vast majority of sites globally are tobacco-free and many encourage healthy behaviors by having walking trails, on-site fitness centers that provide in-person and virtual fitness classes, personal training and more.

At many of our sites, we also offer services such as cafeterias, child care, dry cleaning, transportation to public transit and other amenities. In the U.S., our employees have the option of banking through our company’s two employee credit unions, which offer competitive interest rates on savings accounts and lending.
