Join our agile international team dedicated to advancing the global aquaculture industry. As part of the global team, you will get wide exposture into the aquaculture business, as well as working with different species and groups in Merck Animal Health. This is a great opportunity to join a small group with wide exposure across marketing, manufacturing and supply and across different levels of the organization around the world.

The job scope and primary focus for this position is to actively support the global aquaculture sales and marketing strategy across the regions and territories via coordination and execution of sales support and marketing activities including:

  • Work with the global team to support key products and global initiatives.
  • Help coordinate internal and external marketing and meetings.
  • Support key products and key market needs.
  • Support the development of species specific toolkits with a focus on emerging markets.
  • Compile relevant key market figures and work with market research to fill data gaps.


Education Minimum Requirement: 

  • Must be in the process of earning a BA or BS in Animal Science, Agribusiness, Veterinary School, Animal Health, Business, Marketing, Communications, Advertising or related degree programs.
  • Completed at least 3 years of college course work by June 2019 or pursuing a graduate degree such as an MBA
Required Experience and Skills: 
  • Must be available to work full time office hours for 6 months beginning Spring/Summer 2019.
  • Positive attitude and a strong work ethic.
  • Critical thinking skills to carry out instructions and make decisions within scope of authority.
  • Problem solving skills involving several variables.
  • Ability to follow policies and procedures and be an active member of a team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, especially PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast paced environment reporting to multiple managers across diverse product lines.
  • Detail oriented with strong project management and organization skills.
  • Excellent English communication skills, oral and written. 
  • Experience with digital and social media.
  • Good understanding of marketing principles, consumer brand management, and food consumer trends.
  • Position is located in Madision, NJ and you will be required to work on-site and travel up to 5%.
Preferred Experience and Skills:
  • GPA of 3.0 or higher
  • Leadership roles during college
  • Additional language fluency highly desirable
  • Previous experience working in:
    • a multinational and/or corporate business setting
    • consumer or professional marketing, PR or advertising
    • knowledge of InDesign and C
    • A love and passion for animals is a plus
