IT Emerging Talent Program
for students & grads

We’re looking for talented students and grads who have a passion for technology and healthcare, love working in teams, and are driven by results

Operating within the U.S., Prague, and Singapore, the IT Emerging Talent Program (ETR) cultivates the technical, business, and professional experience of entry-level technologists. Working in teams, alongside highly skilled professionals, student interns and ETR employees apply their passion for technology to help our company develop and provide innovative products and services aligned to our most critical business outcomes.
We're committed to the well-being and development of our employees. We strive for diversity across race, gender, and orientation. We know salary is an important factor, but other things matter too, like work-life balance, flexible hours, perks, and benefits. Here are a few testimonials from recent summer interns, current ETR Program participants, and alumni.
I thoroughly enjoyed my summer contributing to the Connected Channels Program in the Manufacturing Division. I learned so much about the company and how blockchain can be used in several supply chain use cases, especially for the plant-to-patient initiatives. I'm grateful for my supportive team and for my program mentor, who provided me with several networking opportunities to learn more about the various divisions and projects underway.
Rakshaa Ravishankar
IT Intern
I had the incredible opportuntunity of working as a Data Scientist intern with Merck Research Labs IT. Although it was all virtual, I was able to learn how machine learning and artificial intelligence research are being used to develop new compounds and assist Merck researchers and Data Scientists. The support I received was incredible: the onboarding went smoothly, my manager was a great mentor, and my teammates answered my questions and had my back. The ETR program members and my fellow interns helped me through this amazing internship.
Kamal Youssef
Data Scientist Intern
Under the guidance and help of my mentor and his team, I was trusted to work on a proof-of-concept for the Ph.D. team that explores the feasibility of leveraging blockchain technology to store clinical testing material. Through this project, I learned how to develop an Ethereum blockchain, learned how to utilize Elasticsearch, and further developed my skills in front-end development. This internship has truly been an unforgettable one that has reignited my passion for coding and prepared me to enter my final year of school.
