Human Health MBA Program
Our sales and marketing division for prescription medicines and vaccines is grounded in our core principle: patients first. Our Human Health division provides both internships and full-time positions located in a variety of different areas of the business including product and global marketing, oncology, and market research & analytics.
We’re looking for current MBA students who will be completing the first year of an accredited MBA program by June. Full-time opportunities are targeted toward second-year MBA students. Prior experience in the healthcare, pharmaceutical, or biotech industries is preferred but not required.

Finance MBA Program
Our Finance team provides two US-based initiatives for MBA students, prioritizing career development, strengthening business and financial expertise, and fostering leadership potential through diverse experiences in client support and corporate roles.
The Finance MBA Internship is a 10-week summer opportunity designed for current MBA students completing their first year by the program’s start date. Interns are tasked with addressing critical business needs through a dedicated project.

My name is Hanny Ngo, and I am a 2024 Co-op at Discovery Biologics, South San Francisco site. Merk’s internship/co-op program offers an exceptional experience in the bio-pharmaceutical industry. Working alongside talented scientists on meaningful projects has reconfirmed my passion for science and patient care. With my mentor’s guidance and the support from my manager and department, my co-op project has progressed smoothly. I truly appreciate the open and collaborative culture at Merck, and I’m grateful for the opportunity to learn about the drug development pipeline
